  • Accepting Alpha customers for the Campus DHCP service

We are pleased to announce that we are now officially accepting Alpha customers for the campus DHCP service!

    What does "alpha" mean?

    • Simple configurations that change infrequently, e.g. open dynamic pools and/or a few fixed reservations
    • All changes will require an email to hostmgr@illinois.edu and might take a day or two
    • No nets where there is a high likelihood/impact of running out of IP addresses
    • No nets where a complete failure of DHCP would be disastrous

If you have a DHCP need that meets the criteria above and would like to participate in the alpha stage of the campus DHCP service, please email hostmgr@illinois.edu with the information about the network you would like to add.
