Vet Med Students Volunteer in Costa Rica & Panama

After waking up to a beautiful and sunny day, our group had breakfast together on the deck at the Hotel Vista Mar. Eating while looking out at the water was very idyllic. It seemed like most people appreciated eating pancakes again instead of gallo pinto for the eleventh day in a row, but I definitely missed that tasty rice and bean dish!

This was the last full day of our trip. We started our day with some pancakes and tropical fruit on the pier off the back of our hotel (or the front, if you are coming from the water like we did). After breakfast, we loaded up our gear onto the boat and left Boca del Toro, Panama. It was a twenty minute boat-ride back to the mainland, our bus, and Alan (our patient bus driver for the trip). Then we set out back to Costa Rica.
