
Dr. T.M. Valarmathi joined the department on January 16 coming from the University of South Carolina Medical School in Columbia, SC. Dr. Valarmathi is a joint hire of the College of Veterinary Medicine and the College of Medicine but will have his academic home in the Department of Comparative Biosciences. He will be responsible for teaching cardiovascular physiology in the professional curriculum of both schools. Dr. Valarmathi's research focuses on 3-dimensional cardiac stem cell culture techniques.
