With last night being clear and open, night observing is officially completed for the semester.
FYI, if your class requires it, solar observing begins on Nov. 2nd!
Tonight's observing session will be open 7:30-9:30 pm.

The weather has not cooperated this week. Tonight's observing session is canceled. We will try again for next week. The first clear night next week will the final night of observing.

Tonight's observing session (Thursday, 10/8) is canceled due to the weather. The final observing session will be the first clear night next week (starting Monday).
If tonight (Thursday, 10/8) is clear, then tonight's observing session will be the final session. If it is cloudy tonight (which appears likely), then the final night observing session will be held on the first clear night next week.
Note: ASTR 210 has a fixed due date of Friday, October 9th for night observing reports.

Given the current weather and forecast for tonight, night observing is canceled for Tuesday evening, 10/6. Don't forget, raindates have been announced for Wednesday and Thursday this week (10/7, 10/8)!
We will be adding additional night observing raindates on Wednesday and Thursday of this week (starting at 7:30pm, weather permitting). However, if it is clear tonight or Wednesday, don't wait for Thursday - go the first clear night you can!
