  • Serving Our Community

Providing excellence to our community means being engaged.  We take pride in the many ways that our students, faculty, and staff serve our community.

Our dedicated DVM students donate hundreds of hours of volunteer time each year to a variety of worthwhile organizations both within and outside of the College. Here are just a few examples of what they do:

    • Care for local wildlife at the Wildlife Medical Clinic,
    • Provide a safe place and good care for pets at A Pet's Place,
    • Arrange for pet visits to hospitals and nursing homes,
    • Organize fundraising opportunities like the recent OTS Dog Wash that benefitted our local humane society,
    • Organize and run our annual College of Veterinary Medicine Open House. And dont' forget this year's Open House is coming up this Sunday, April 11 from 10-4.

We're starting the week off right by giving blood, so others can live! Our ISCAVMA (Illinois Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association) students helped organize a blood drive that will run today and tomorrow from 11am - 4pm. Stop by the Atrium and roll up your sleeves!
