    The All-MBA-Tailgate on October 30, 2010

On Saturday, students and alumni from the full-time, part-time, executive, and Warsaw-Illinois executive MBA programs gathered for a tailgate before the Illinois-Purdue game.  The event was a great opportunity for students in the Warsaw program to interact with their counterparts in Champaign.

You may be wondering, "What are students from Poland doing at an Illinois MBA tailgate?"

It turns out there are several different options for earning an MBA at Illinois.  Our full-time program takes place in Champaign and lasts for 21 months.  In addition to classroom studies, students have numerous experiential learning opportunities, including IBC, study abroad and working with the newly-created Kola foundation. The part-time program is a great option for working professionals living in and around Champaign. The program runs for 26 months and classes meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings. Our executive MBA program is 20 months long and meets at the Illini Center in downtown Chicago.  Finally, our Warsaw-Illinois executive MBA represents a great partnership between the University of Illinois and the University of Warsaw.  Students in that program take classes taught by U of I faculty, while students in the US-based progams have the opportunity to travel to Warsaw and takes classes there.

No matter which path a student chooses, they still earn an Illinois MBA and are part of the Illini family. Events like Saturday's tailgate are great reminders of the strength of the Illinois MBA alumni network. Currently, there are about 7,500 Illinois MBA alumni living in 63 countries throughout the world.

Speaking of strength, the Fighting Illini put on a good show after the tailgate by beating Purdue 44-10!
