Greetings, Here are some updates and information from the office of New Student Advising in LAS: 1) We will be welcoming a new class of transfer students to LAS this Spring 2011! --January 14th is a registration program and college orientation for students who were unable to meet with their advisor at the end of last semester. To register for January 14th, please visit the link after the jump. --January 18th, 5:15pm in 228 Natural History Building is a college orientation for all new transfer students who registered for Spring courses last semester 2) We will have a college orientation for our incoming International Non-Degree Exchange students on January 14th at 1pm in 141 Wohlers Hall. We're excited to have them with us this semester! 3) Our first Individual Plan of Study Information Session for Spring 2011 will be February 2nd at 4pm in 140 Henry Admin Building. If you are interested in learning more about the IPS Major, please attend this info session! If you are unable to attend this session, there will be one every month this Spring, so visit this blog to find out more dates at a later time. 4) Our office is located in 106 English Building and we will be welcoming walk-in appointments until January 28th (after that date, you can call or stop by to make an appointment). Here are some updates related to New Student Advising in LAS: *New transfer students will be contacted by their academic adivsor about setting up advising appointments between November 22nd and December 17th. New students can not register for Spring 2011 classes before speaking with their advisor. *We will have our last Individual Plan of Study Information Session after Fall Break on December 1st, 2010 at 4pm in 142 Henry Admin Building. If you are interested in developing an IPS major, please attend this info session. *The last date to submit an application for Re-entry to LAS for Spring 2011 is Tuesday, November 30th at 5pm. (We do accept applications that are post-stamped by this date) We hope you all have a wonderful Fall Break and good luck on all your Finals! Cory

If you are interested in the Indvidual Plan of Study Major, please come to this session! 2. We just finished Transfer Student Check-in. If you are a new transfer student in LAS, please remember to utilize our office if you have any questions, or are running into any academic difficulty! 3. We are currently processing Spring 2011 re-entry applications. The priority deadline is November 1st, so please get your applications in then if you are trying to re-enter to LAS for Spring semester. The LAS New Student Advising Office will be conducting a mandatory mid-semester check-in with all our new Fall 2010 transfer students. An email was sent to all new transfer students on September 30th with instructions. The check-in program starts October 1st and ends October 15th. Students can complete their check-in by Individual Appointment or Group Check in. More information is after the jump.
