    Internship Description: Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center (BNAACC), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, seeks to fill a full-time and several part-time student intern positions. These internships are geared toward students interested in marketing, advertising, and communications. Interns will help develop brochures, e-Newsletters, posters, and graphic designs for BNAACC.

    Requirements: A successful applicant must be team player who enjoys working with people and feels comfortable working in a creative and fast-paced environment. The internship requires the ability to think and work both independently and as a part of a team. Selected interns will gain experience in developing marketing plans and campaigns designed to promote, advertise and create awareness of African American art, culture and history. The schedule for this internship is flexible during the operating hours of 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m., M-F but does require a commitment of 8-10 hours per week.

    Skills: The ideal candidate for this internship is creative, imaginative and will take pride in finding creative solutions, working hard, and being challenged. A basic knowledge of computer applications in a PC environment and familiarity with social media/networks (i.e. Twitter, Facebook, etc.) is needed. Videography, web design, and experience in layout/design using the Adobe Creative Suite are beneficial.
