Internship Description: The Office of Recreation & Park Resources (ORPR), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks to fill a part-time student intern position. ORPR is the public engagement arm of the Recreation, Sport and Tourism Department. We provide consultation, training, education and applied research to meet the needs of park and recreation professionals. ORPR offers interns the unique opportunity to help develop and market application software related to parks and recreation in the state of Illinois. This internship does not offer monetary compensation.
Requirements: A successful applicant must have web development knowledge and have a proven track record in the creation of application software. The internship requires the ability to creatively think and work both independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills are essential to work well with partner organizations in collection of data. Students applying should be self-starters with the ability to think critically and analyze situations and data.
