There is now a way to block phone numbers from the view of caller id while using Lync. If UC Voice users wish to keep their personal number concealed while placing a call using Lync, the UC Voice user must dial 067 (the blocking code) plus the 11 digit telephone number.
For example, if a user would like to place a call to 217-555-5555 and block their true phone number from outgoing caller id, they just need to dial 06712175555555. Instead of seeing the actual phone number the user was calling from, the recepient of the call would simply see 217-333-1000 on their caller id.
If the number being dialed uses a service provider that does not pass down the caller id information, the called party will not see any caller id information.
