  • Updated Mac Lync client - significant improvements

    Microsoft released a Mac Lync client update (14.0.5) in June, 2013 that enables many of the functions and features that were previously missing compared to the Windows Lync 2010 client. Please visit http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=36517 to update your system if you are not running version 14.0.5.

    Noteworthy Fixes

    • Failure trying to join an online meeting
    • Desktop sharing or video sharing session disconnects

    Noteworthy improvements

    • Conversation history for voice calls is now available
    • Support for recording notifications of conversations and online meetings
    • Voice mail indicator to see the number of voice mails and a list of voice mails
    • The ability to play voice mails from the Lync for Mac 2011 client
    • Boss delegate is shown in a group for contacts
    • Ability to add delegates
    • Retrieval of calendar information is supported
