A Conference on aesthetics, politics, and new revolutionary movements presented by the Unit for Criticism and Interpretive Theory (UCIT). The seminar will be held April 26 & 27 at the I Hotel & Conference Center.
Beyond Utopia" is a faculty and graduate seminar organized by the UCIT and teh Illinois Program for Research in the Humanities (IPRH). The seminar features three keynote speakers:
- Bonnie Honigh "After Utopia: Genre, Tragedy, and Melodrama in Germany in Autumn"
- Eyal Weizman "The Morning After"
- Saba Mahmood "Secularism, Sexuality, and the Right to Religious Difference"
