The undulating side of the Aqua Tower in Chicago
The Art Institute of Chicago is hosting an exhibition of the architecture firm Studio Gang Architecture. Studio Gang Architecture's most visible building is the Aqua Tower in Chicago, which is the tallest building designed by a woman, and the firm is known for its creativity and innovation. The exhibit is in a studio-like format, and museum patrons can view scale models, video, etc., seeing the process of bringing an idea to life.
In addition to the exhibit, two archi-salons will also be held at the AIC. These will be conversations in which participants can discuss the issues and perspectives in the field of contemporary architecture. The first will take place on Saturday, November 17, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., and the second will take place on Saturday, February 2, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
