CAP Meeting Minutes
August 4, 2011

I Call to order Meeting called to order at about 1 pm

III Review and Approval of Minutes Approved with minor modifications
IV Communications Committee Website and newsletter mentioned.
V Unfinished Business
Next SUCCS meeting is August 17. Sue and Karen are planning to attend. Onsite UIUC AP/Civil Service audit is complete. UA is hopeful for a good report. Regarding employee health insurance, odds are good for a one year timeout regarding any changes. No news on pension changes.
VI Committee Reports
CAPE committee member selection is underway. Forward names to CAP by August 26 as September 19 is final deadline. Please determine interest before forwarding names of potential committee members. APs serving on committees will be asked for regular reports. Student Life Committee replacement needed for Erin. The term is through 2012. Redistricting committee meets Tuesday. UPPAC is August 11.
Senate Exec – Kostas did not attend July meeting. Deans attended a Board of Trustees 2-day retreat. Aviation Institute has last class in 2014. Approximately 30 APs are involved with the Institute which is part of district 8. Rick will take over service of Senate Exec Committee.
VII AHR Report Elyne reported on budget and APDF. $9K requested thus far.
VIII New Business/Announcements
Request for CAP to participate in Climate Survey has been forwarded. Karen and Jonathan will work together on exit interview list. Jonathan mentioned another AP has resigned due to benefits being cut. Elizabeth Rockman mentioned SURS recalculation of money purchase formula is going to clean house. SURS says that if you take the time to research, it won’t be so bad. Formula is due to change July 2, 2011. Request to Elyne for head count of FTE APs back to 2009 was made again. Running report in September will be more accurate. Conflict of Interest statements are not going paperless yet.
