| In this talk, John Ishiyama, Professor of Political Science at the University of North Texas and Editor in Chief of the Journal of Political Science Education,presents some lessons and best practices from the most recent literature on the effectiveness of classroom techniques that have sought to promoteactive student learning (including simulations, problem based learning, team based learning, interactive classroom technologies) in the political Science classroom. Particular emphasis will be on the challenges faculty members face in promoting active learning in large classrooms during a time of increasing resource constraints. |
