Narayana R. Aluru, a researcher in the Institute for Advanced Computing Applications and Technologies, will be invested as Richard W. Kritzer Distinguished Professor in Mechanical Science and Engineering. Aluru efforts in IACAT's Center for Extreme-Scale Computation are in the development of multiscale simulation methods that seamlessly interatomic potentials with nonlinear continuum mechanical theories.
