A leading figure in creative, improvised music scene since the late 1960s, multi-instrumentalist Joe McPhee formed Trio X with like-minded improvisers, Dominic Duval (bass) and Jay Rosen (drums). New York-based Trio X celebrates their 10th anniversary as a group completely dedicated to an art of improvisation deeply rooted in their collective experiences as premier performers in avant-garde jazz and new music circles.
The Sudden Sound Concert Series is committed to presenting today's leading artists in the fields of improvised music and the jazz avant-garde, establishing Krannert Art Museum as a destination for enthusiasts of cutting-edge, progressive music from the U.S. and abroad. The Sudden Sound Concert Series is curated by Jason Finkleman. |
