Beckman Main Calendar

The Beckman Institute is host to many public and private events throughout the year, including the Director's Seminar, a series of public lectures by Beckman researchers; the Thursdays at Twelve-Twenty Concerts, a program of free lunchtime musical performances; and a number of national and international conferences, symposiums and workshops.

The Office of Space Reservations handles the use and scheduling of the 10+ conference rooms available for use within the Institute.

THe BRL Seminar will consist of three - four short seminars - (1) "Quantitative Ultrasound Measurements of Cells and Tissue for Hyperthermia Therapy Assessment" by Jeremy Kemmerer, BRL, Graduate Student, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering; (2) "Small Lesion Detection with Pulse Compression Techniques: Part II" by Paul Linden, BRL, Graduate Student, Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering; and (3) "My Pyramid and You: Interpreting Current Dietary Guidelines" by Brendon Smith, BRL, Graduate Student, Division of Nutritional Sciences and possibly a fourth short seminar - TBA.
