Thirty years ago computers were expensive and uncommon. Today computers are part of our everyday lives with smart phones, laptops, video games, and the Internet. Over the next thirty years robots will become as common as computers are today.  They will be in homes, hospitals, shopping centers, and factories working closely with humans. In this talk we will discuss how this revolution in robotics is likely to occur in three areas: networked robots, human-robot interaction, and telepresence.
