In this hands-on workshop participants will learn about the benefits of using Respondus to create and manage Tests and Surveys for instructors that use Illinois Compass2g (Powered by Blackboard Learn 9.1). Workshop participants will gain experience creating new questions for Tests and Surveys as well as using official test bank questions provided by popular text book publishers. Participants will learn how to format Microsoft Word documents to quickly import questions into Respondus and upload them into their Illinois Compass 2g class spaces. Respondus can be used across many popular Learning Management Systems and can even be used for storing and organizing tests and surveys for print distribution. Emphasis will be placed on the benefits of using Respondus to author content while offline and even transfer content from one Learning Management System to another. Respondus is Windows-only software available to University of Illinois faculty, staff and students at no charge through the University Webstore at http://webstore.illinois.edu. This workshop is intended for beginners, but veteran Respondus users are invited to attend.
