Your course syllabus is not just a document you hand out to students on the first day of class. Your syllabus is the backbone of your entire course ' it is how students know what is expected of them, what they can expect of you, and what it takes to succeed in the course. It is a promise you make to your students. You don't want to mess it up. Come to this workshop and learn the essentials of syllabus construction: learning objectives, learning activities, course policies, and more. Bring a draft syllabus, or at least an idea for a course you would like to teach.
