The Seventh International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry, will be held May 18-21 2011, the Illini Union. This year's Theme is "Qualitative Inquiry and the Politics of Advocacy." Michal Krumer-Nevo, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, will give the keynote, "Writing Against Othering," and John H. Stanfield, Indiana University, will present "Turning the Next Wide 21st Century Corner: Holistic Restorative Justice Principles in Qualitative Inquiry." More than 1,300 attendees from more than 67 nations have registered for the Congress. There will be 21 pre-conference workshops, and more than 1,200 papers will be presented in the more than 270 scheduled sessions. In addition, there will be six Pre-Congress Day events, including A Day in Spanish and Portuguese, A Day in Turkish, A Day in Qualitative Healthcare, A Day in Psychology, A Day in Social Work, and Indigenous Qualitative Inquiry.
