Gain first-hand experience providing direct services to individuals and families in the community! In these year-long Psychology 340/341 courses you will:
(1) Learn more about providing one-on-one emotional support to an individual and/or a family,
(2) Become familiar with local community resources and assist clients with problem-solving and accessing needed resources,
(4) Develop skills to help clients empower themselves,
(5) Make a difference in the lives of clients while learning skills important for graduate school or a career in the human service field.
These courses provide opportunities to learn in-depth about issues such as youth risk for juvenile justice involvement, domestic violence, and other issues that impact low-income and at-risk individuals and families in this community. All majors are welcome to apply for these classes.
If you are interested, please plan to attend one of the following informational meetings in Psychology Room 32:
Tuesday, April 10 at 7:00-8:00 pm
Wednesday, April 11 at 7:00-8:00 pm
