My Nguyen (BS Ceramics '96, MS MatSE '97) is Vice President of Customer Loyalty and Quality for EchoFirst, a start-up providing an integrated solar energy solution for the residential market. He is a Certified Net Promoter Associate and a customer champion. Prior to joining EchoFirst, he led global Quality Management at SunEdison and SunPower, both solar leaders in the residential, commercial, and utility space. Before working in the solar industry, he worked in semiconductor package reliability, where he was awarded three patents. He began his career as a development engineer at a flat panel display start-up in Silicon Valley. He will talk to MatSE students about the solar industry and current trends, EchoFirst, customer loyalty and quality as a line of work, and what makes students competitive on the job market.
