Beverly Huss (BS Metallurgical Engr. '82) served as President and CEO of Vibrynt, a company dedicated to creating minimally invasive therapies for patients suffering from morbid obesity, since co-founding the company in 2006-2013. She has several patents in cardiovascular and obesity medical devices, including ones for an extendable guide wire and for an intravascular catheter. From 2001- 2005, she was President of Endovascular Solutions division and VP of Guidant. She was responsible for research and development, manufacturing, sales, marketing, finance, regulatory affairs, quality assurance, clinical affairs and human resources. Mrs. Huss is a recipient of the 2013 Distinguished Service Alumni Award from the College of Engineering. She will talk to students about her experiences in the medical device industry.
