“The Poetics of Discord”

Dr. Coco Fusco is a world-renowned performance and interdisciplinary artist who has created some of the most poignant and germinal artworks of the last twenty-five years. Amongst Dr. Fusco’s many accomplishments she has received a Guggenheim Fellowship (2013); a CINTAS Fellowship (2014); a Fulbright (2013), and a US Artists Fellowship (2012). She has exhibited, performed, and lectured all around the world including at the Tate Liverpool, MOMA, The Walker Art Center, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona. Dr. Fusco was included in the most recent Venice Biennale, curated by Okwui Enwezor. She is currently represented by Alexander Gray in New York. Dr. Fusco has authored and edited several notable books including the super important Corpus Delecti: Performance Art of the Americas (Routledge, 1999) and the recent Dangerous Moves: Performance and Politics in Cuba (Tate, 2015).
