This is one of the two winning entries for the 2013 Graduate Student Employee Exhibit Contest. Mandi Goodsett describes her winning exhibit proposal: "This exhibit will display a sampling of vocal sheet music scores from the Music and Performing Art Library's special collection of historic sheet music. This collection is important because of the cultural and social evidence it provides to both researchers and musicians about music and culture int he early twentieth century. In addition, many of the scores include beautiful cover art. I chose music that celebrates Illinois because I felt it would be relatable to students and faculty, and I thought it was a wonderful way to document the school and state pride found in alumni and students of the University of Illinois."
