A major hit in France, this sparkling romantic comedy by first-time director Chaumeil gives the usually intense Duris a field day in a relaxed comic role. He plays Alex, a professional charmer who is hired by concerned parents and friends to woo women away from unworthy suitors. Complications set in when his latest target (Paradis) proves unusually resistant to his charms, and he proves unprecedentedly susceptible to hers. The Monte Carlo locations are gorgeous, and Duris's reenactment of DIRTY DANCING (the Paradis character's favorite film) is a comic highlight. In French with English subtitles.
