Lidia Grafova is a Journalist and leader of the international public movement 'Migrants Organization Forum,' as well as a member of the Russian Governmental Commission on Migration Policy. At present, Grafova is an active writer who has published over 500 articles, many of which were published in progressive Russian newspapers. Grafova has been an active force in migrant initiatives including the founding of the first Russian public organization assisting migrants. She has initiated 'From Hand to Hand,' a social action movement aimed at providing food and clothes to refugees in the Chechen Republic, Ingushetija and Dagestan. She has also volunteered as part of a regular group of volunteers who travel to Beslan, which renders information and psychological help to victims of acts of terrorism. Grafova is also the recipient of several awards and prestigious nominations including 'The Golden Pen of Russia,' a nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, and a nomination for the A. Sakhavov award 'Journalism as an Act of Bravery.'
