The conference “Integrating Approaches to Ancient Drama,” hosted by the Department of the Classics, will take place on April 12-14. This interdisciplinary conference features talks by drama specialists, theater practitioners and graduate students’ research. The conference brings together scholars working in these areas in SLCL and other units on campus as well as classicists from major universities and colleges in the Midwest. The program includes thematic panels on gender, religion, ancient performance, music and the reception of Greek and Roman drama in later theatrical traditions and in film.
