Interspersed in her five years of graduate studies, she spent three months in Japan as an East Asia and Pacific Summer Institute fellow (EAPSI) conducting research, was selected as a delegate for the Lindau Meeting of Nobel Laureates in Germany and participated in Global Health Initiative international experience in Ghana.
