Day 1 (4th)
Interactive presentations start at Middle Fork State Fish and Wildlife Area at 8:00 am
Lunch scheduled for 1:00 pm (bring own lunch)
Target shooting starts at 1:30 pm
Question and answer starts at 3:45 pm
Day 2 (5th)
Meet at Middle Fork State Fish and Wildlife Area at 8:00 am
Field activities begin at 8:15 am
Mentored small game or upland bird hunt begins about 11:45 am (lunch in field)
Game harvest cooking starts at 2:45 pm
Certificates and awards start at 5:00 pm

Notes for participants
No FOID card or firearms needed. We will provide you with all the equipment you need to shoot firearms safely and effectively.
Dress appropriately for hiking through uneven, potentially wet, wooded terrain and variable weather conditions. Camoflage clothing is encouraged, including a hat, coat and pants.
Snacks will be provided, but bring your lunch both days.
We encourage you to purchase a
before the workshop. We will show you how to purchase the other licenses and permits you need to hunt.
DISCLAIMER: if the weather is bad, we may not hold the target shooting or mentored hunt. But do not worry, we will set you up with a mentor to shoot and hunt with in the future.
