"Working Locally-Reaching Globally" is the theme for the 2013 Illinois River Conference. The conference offers a look at the river system, projects and programs to protect it, and the role it plays on a global scale.

The Illinois River Conference offers opportunities to gain new information and network with a variety of resource professionals, scientists and river enthusiasts. Sessions will address infrastructure needs and beneficial uses of sediment, local community and agricultural actions to protect river resources, watershed history, wildlife habitat, river science and more, offering perspectives on regional and global impacts of the Illinois River system. See exhibits by several different organizations; take a river boat cruise, and experience the interactive digital technologies open house.
