Are you interested in learning what sustainability is about and how students in your field could learn more about it? Faculty, instructors, and graduate and post-doctoral students are invited to a spring workshop to develop practical knowledge and skills for bringing sustainability into the classroom. Sustainability experts from a variety of fields at the University will serve as consultants, offering classroom models and curricular content ideas for the teaching of sustainability. During the day, workshop participants will actively work on developing a syllabus and classroom activities in their field.
There will be a reception held on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the School of Architecture, Art Gallery, followed by an all-day workshop on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at Allerton Park and Retreat Center.
Participants will receive a $500.00 stipend for attending the workshop and completing the course development tasks associated with it. Online applications are available at www.sustainability.illinois.edu/teachingworkshop.html and are due Thursday, February 28.
