Bekisizwe S. Ndimande is Assistant Professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Core Faculty in the Center for African Studies, and Faculty Affiliate in the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies. Dr. Ndimande 's research interest is in the field of international and comparative studies in education, with specific focus on South Africa. He has published several book chapters and journal articles, including Pedagogy of the Township: A Letter to Paulo Freire, In Sonia Nieto (Ed.), Dear Paulo: Letters from those who dare teach; Race and Resources, Race Ethnicity and Education; Lutas Docentes nas Escolas Pblicas para negros na frica do Sul ps-apartheid, Cadernos de Educao.
