The 2012 Black and Latino Male Summit (BLMS) provides a forum for Black and Latino men to discuss issues on manhood and to develop strategies to achieve academic success, professional development, and wellness, as well as to promote camaraderie, coalition building, and community. The theme for this year's BLMS is "A Sideline Story," which  prospective presenters should incorporate into their workshop. Inspired by rapper J. Coles' song "Sideline Story," the goal is to highlight and empower Black and Latino males by putting them in the forefront rather than leaving them on the sideline.
