Women of Color, an organization on the University of Illinois campus, educates, uplifts, and unites minority women in Urbana-Champaign. Women of Color will hold its 24th annual conference on April 5-7. Opening Ceremonies will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5, in Illini Union Rooms A-C, and will feature Judy Smith, crisis manager and inspiration for the hit show "Scandal." Workshops will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, in the Illini Union Colonial Room. Psycho-educational workshops will be the focus, given by experts in the field and supervised by a member of Women of Color. Closing ceremonies will take place from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 7, at the Bruce D. Nesbitt African American Cultural Center with a barbeque lunch to celebrate the weekend, co-sponsored with the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc.
