The Illinois New Teacher Collaborative Beginning Teacher STEM Conference is open to K-12 science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) teachers in Illinois with one to four years full-time classroom experience, including secondary STEM teachers and elementary teachers who teach STEM content.
STEM mentors and others who support new K-12 teachers in their STEM curricula are also welcome. Mentors must attend with their protégé, and only one mentor or support personnel may register per beginning teacher.
Beginning teachers face tough challenges in their first years, and this conference will offer STEM-focused classroom content, time to reflect on and share teaching experiences, and networking with other new STEM teachers from around the state.
Thanks to the generosity of Governors State University and the University of Illinois Research Park, there is no conference fee. Conference size is limited. For additional information, or to register, visit the conference website.
