Hinamatsuri or Girls' Day at Japan House! Celebrate the traditional Japanese holiday of Girls' Day! A traditional Japanese tea ceremony for children 12 and under and a special Girls' Day craft session will be offered. Two tea times are available, with one overlapping craft session to learn origami and ikebana. Children 12 and under are $10 for the tea ceremony and accompanying craft session. Adults accompanying the children (tea ceremony only) are $6. There will be displays of traditional Hinamatsuri dolls representing the Emperor, Empress, attendants, and musicians in the traditional court dress of the Heian era (794-1185).  All participants will also receive a take home Japanese sweet!

First session begins with a tea ceremony at 1:00. Girls' Day presentation at 1:30 and a craft session for all at 1:45. The second session for tea will be at 2:30.
