Technology Services Academic Technology Services is happy to announce the Fall 2012 'Teaching with Technology' Brown Bag Series, beginning Wednesday September 19.  This free and lively forum focuses on the intersection between innovative uses of new and emerging technologies, and best practices in teaching and learning. All events take place in 23 Illini Hall from noon until 1pm. Refreshments are provided. Please see our webpage for more information, or to watch videorecordings of previous brown bag presentations.

 Karen Rodriguez (Ethnography of the University) on October 10, discussing multimedia and undergraduate research, and the infrastructure for the EUI model;

 Walter Hurley (Animal Sciences) on October 24, discussing the use of home-grown and student-made videos to enhance the teaching and learning process;

 Chris Schmitz (Engineering) on November 7, discussing the meta-cognitive instructional process of students studying digital information technology; and

 Bill Simmons (Crop Sciences) on December 5, discussing how he 'flipped' his classroom to improve student engagement.
