Originating Calendar Center for Teaching Excellence (new)
Are you teaching well? Do you understand ICES results? This workshop will explain the "Instructor & Course Evaluation System" (ICES) used at Illinois. We'll briefly cover selecting ICES items and releasing results, then spend time on actually interpreting the ICES results. Plus, we'll investigate research related to student ratings of instruction--which variables affect (or don't affect) ratings. How do ICES results relate to peer observations, alumni surveys, or course grades? Feel free to bring your own ICES results and ask questions!
NOTE: This session is held in 1105 Siebel Center (not Armory Bldg). Open to all campus instructors (faculty, teaching assistants, and APs).
