Drowning in Citations and PDFs? EndNote Can help!
Learn how to use EndNote, a citation management program, to keep track of citations and properly format your papers. Heavily used by researchers across campus, EndNote is available for Macs and PCs and can be purchased from the U of I Webstore http://webstore.illinois.edu/home/ for $55. We often hear graduate students say that they wish they had implemented a citation management strategy at the beginning of their academic careers - don't let this happen to you!
If you already own EndNote, check out our EndNote support site for helpful tips and information: http://www.library.illinois.edu/biotech/endnotesupport.html. You are welcome to bring your portable PC, with EndNote installed, to the class session.
You will learn how to:
- Customize EndNote to maximize it's usefulness in the U of Illinois research environment
- Create your own searchable library(s) of literature citations for easy reference and with links to the full text
- Manage the PDFs on your computer, by indexing them in EndNote
- Use EndNote to easily format citations within and at the end of your manuscripts to conform with the style required by a journal
Do you want to know the differences between RefWorks and EndNote?
