Far from being the geeky and misunderstood cousin to Monopoly, online gaming has grown to become a powerhouse with thousands of games and millions of players. But games can do more than entertain, they can also teach information literacy, especially to younger users. This workshop will examine some of the common techniques used to convey information in online game environments and will then examine how these techniques can be applied to LIS databases to make them more engaging and accessible.
