The workshop will be held in the Main Library, Library 314. Take the north stairwell (Armory and Wright Street entrance) to the 3rd floor of the Main Library and make a left at the top of the stairs.
This workshop will teach you how to use Viewshare, a web based tool maintained by the Library of Congress, to turn data stored in Microsoft Excel files into interactive and shareable visualizations. During the hands on portion of the workshop you will learn to create maps, timelines, and more. A variety of domain oriented data will be provided for you to work with during the workshop.
Please note: In order to access a Viewshare account in time for this workshop, please register 1-2 days in advance: http://viewshare.org/registration/register/
