COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The main focus of this session is to discuss the cost principles that govern sponsored projects, explain allowable vs. unallowable costs, recap roles and responsibilities for sponsored project oversight and management, and provide resources for further guidance. Group discussions/case studies will be at the end of the session.
Additional topics briefly covered in the session include prior approval, cost sharing, cost transfers, and other miscellaneous items. Please see the other Grants & Sponsored Projects workshops provided that offer more in-depth coverage of cost sharing and cost transfers.
