From better communication skills to the ability to think on one's feet, using improv in business has proved to help both individuals and the companies that hire improv groups. Fostering innovation, confidence, team building, and creativity'we thought it would be fun and helpful for the Research Park to bring in an improv team to train professionals here. This is a half day workshop targeted for people without prior acting experience. The Champaign based Zoo Improv Troupe will be providing the training. Zoo Improv is organized for artistic and educational purposes, to encourage an active interest in the art form in the community at large. The Core members of Zoo Improv have been working together since early 2004. They have triggered belly laughs and inadvertent snorts throughout the central Illinois area at bars, galleries, festivals, private parties, and corporate events. We will provide lunch from 12:00-1:00 with introductions, then have training and practice from 1:00-4:30 pm, followed by a casual performance and happy hour where we will ask others from the Research Park out to see the show.
