Jerry M. Kennelly is Co-Founder, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President of Riverbed Technologies and Gordon Chaffe serves as Vice President of Engineering.
Riverbed (NASDAQ: RVBD), is a publicly traded CA company with an engineering center in the Research Park. The company was founded in 2002 in San Francisco and has had very rapid growth internationally and now has more than 1300 employees. Riverbed Technology specializes in improving the performance of networks and networked applications. Riverbed's main product is the Steelhead Appliance, a networking appliance that combines several techniques to optimize data traffic and bandwidth utilization across a wide area network.

Riverbed is celebrating 5 years in the Research Park this spring and has grown to now have 40 employees in this engineering site that focuses on QA testing for software primarily.
