Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABInBev) is the world's largest brewer with nearly 25 percent global market share and the third largest consumer goods company. AB InBev has 14 brands that individually generate over 1 billion USD per year in revenue out of a portfolio of more than 200 brands. Total revenue for all InBev brands in 2010 was over 36 billion USD. The company employs around 116,000 people in over 30 countries. With the integration of Anheuser-Busch, 45% of the company's sales come from North America. In 2013 ABInBev opened the Bud Analytics Lab in the Research Park to help adopt new technology and innovation into the company.
Continual innovation and renovation are essential to ABInBev efforts to build and enhance their brands to be fresh and relevant in the minds of their consumers. Examples of innovation initiatives include new liquids, line extensions, creative approaches to brand identity and packaging, and new marketing and trade concepts. ABInBev would like to talk with entrepreneurs and inventors at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign that have ideas and technology that might be adopted by their company.
ABInBev leaders will be at EnterpriseWorks on Wednesday March 5th to give an overview over lunch about their company and their technology and innovation areas of interest. They will then have open appointments for entrepreneurs to sign-up for time to talk to them for 15 minute meetings to share their ideas and learn more about how their technology might fit with their business. They have worked with our staff to preselect some companies from EnterpriseWorks, Cozad, and I-Start that are of interest to them, those companies will be given priority time. Each of those companies will receive an email through SignUpGenius to select a time to meet with ABInBev at EnterpriseWorks Conference Room 220 on 3/5/14.
