A search for the Standard Model (SM) Higgs boson decaying into a pair of tau leptons is reported. The analysis, exploiting each of the tau-tau to lepton-lepton, lepton-hadron and hadron-hadron final states, is based on data samples of proton-proton collisions collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC and corresponding to integrated luminosities of 4.6 fb^-1 and 13.0 fb^-1 at centre-of-mass energies of sqrt{s}=7 TeV and 8 TeV, respectively.
