Title: "Hepatic Fibrosis - the New Frontier in Liver Disease"
Objective: At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Introduce the new advances in our understanding of the pathogenesis of hepatic fibrosis.
- Highlight the targets for fibrosis therapy that have emerged from basic and translational models.
- Detail the prospects and obstacles for antifibrotic therapies in liver disease.
Grand Rounds is geared toward attending physicians in the Department of Medicine. The purpose of this activity is to expose attending physicians in the Department of Medicine to the lastest developments in each of the ten sections of the department to further improve the quality of patient care and management.
